The tech giant Google has just announced nine new features that are coming to Google Shopping, making it easier than ever to find the right products and prices.
Let’s take a look at what they are and how they work!
1) Related Products
The first update is that Google will now show product ratings and reviews on search results pages – so you can get a better idea of how other shoppers felt about the product before you buy it. – Next, if you’re browsing through a category such as Women’s Clothing, Google will now show subcategories in the sidebar – so it’s easier to find exactly what you’re looking for.
2) Instant Product Comparison
Google just announced a bunch of new updates that will make it easier for shoppers to compare products. Here are the nine features you need to know about:
- Feature 1: Compare Products. From now on, when you’re browsing for a product on Google, you’ll see the option to compare two products with the same search term.
- Feature 2: Product Details. When you click on a product that’s already in your shopping cart, you’ll be able to see additional details like reviews and pricing history, which means it’ll be easier than ever before for customers to decide whether or not they want to purchase an item.
3) Comparisons in Images
Google updates its search engine with a new way of making comparisons in images. Now when you type in an item’s name, it will show you other items that are similar and allow you to see the differences between them right away.
4) Shipping Cost Information
Google has updated their shipping cost information. They now provide the total price of a product on Google shopping which includes the price, taxes, and shipping costs. This way, consumers can compare prices based on the total cost for delivery. Shipping costs are also now displayed in each product listing with a link to calculate the cost of delivery to your location. Google is making it easier than ever for you to find the right products at the best prices.

5) Updated Terms of Service
On March 3, 2018, Google announced that their new terms of service will be implemented on April 1st. The updated terms allow for the information you provide about yourself in your profile to be used for advertising purposes. This means that if you are logged into your account and visit an online store, a banner ad may appear at the top of your screen with a product from that store. If you have any questions or concerns about this change, please contact
6) Mobile Website Updates
The new mobile website updates also include a new shopping experience. Now when you browse or search on your phone, you’ll see a card-style format that displays the product image, price and description. And as you scroll through products, the Add to Cart button will automatically appear below each item. The update is designed so that with just one tap, shoppers can easily add items they like to their shopping cart.
7) Customer Review Enhancements
This new feature is designed to make it easier for customers to review items they’ve ordered from stores on Google. While this will be beneficial for a lot of users, it does seem like the new reviews might be a little more biased than the current ones.
In order to ensure that reviews are up-to-date, customers will only be able to leave reviews from within the last 30 days. That means that if a customer receives an order and then takes their time leaving feedback, it’s possible that their review may not show up in search results. On top of this, reviews can now only include 100 words instead of 200 words so customers will have less room for detail and get straight to the point with what they think about a product or service.
8) Better Coupon Integration
Google is now able to integrate your coupon information with the product you’re purchasing. This means that when you’re browsing for a couch, your search results will include potential coupons from retailers who sell couches similar to the one you selected. When scrolling down the page, you’ll see a section titled Coupons and offers that includes a list of all relevant offers currently available on those products. If a store has an offer available, then it’s listed right below the Add coupon or offer button. To redeem, just click on the offer and fill out any required fields; if it’s not applicable for your purchase, select No thanks.
9) The Future of Shopping
Google announced 9 new features for a better shopping experience. The two main highlights were that when people search for products, the Shopping tab will now appear in the top right corner of the results page and it will highlight which items are available on Prime and ship for free.
Additionally, there is a new feature called Price Alerts. It lets you set price alerts based off your budget, so you can get notified if an item falls below a certain amount. Once you have selected your preferences, you can then choose how often it should check prices (every hour, every day or every week).
Another great feature is Shopping Actions, which lets users compare products and learn more about them.
